Bat Family: Gotham Crusaders by phil-cho Bat Family: Gotham Crusaders by phil-cho
Enjoy!! Here are Gotham's crusaders from left to right: Huntress (Helena Bertinelli), Batwing (David Zamvimbi), Blackbat (Cassandra Cain), Red Robin (Tim Drake), Batwoman (Kate Kane), Robin (Damian Wayne), Batman (Bruce Wayne), Nightwing (Dick Grayson), Batgirl (Barbara Gordon), Red Hood (Jason Todd), Spoiler (Stephanie Brown), Batman Beyond (Terry McGinnis), and Thaddeus Crane (Alfred Pennyworth)

Of coarse there are more crusaders like Gordon, Azrael, Blue Beetle, and the likes, but I consider these guys to be in the family of Bats and Birds.

I love this piece; not gonna deny it. I LOVE it. It's a great show of all of the great characters that have come out of the Batman comics so far, as well as showing us as fans how far it has all come. I like the fact you included all the recent changes to the DC universe, as well as new characters to add to the Bat-Clan (i.e Bat-Wing) I love the use of colors as well as the light and dark textures being used, I like the fact that you gave real depth and character to each of them, makes them seem more real. overall, i would say that this is a great piece of art :)

I think they should think of making this animated series.

You even selected the characters for them for every season.

Good job man

Thanks! I was trying to think of it as a Batman series by way of DBZ - where each season would have one main bad guy, and the cast changes for each season. You'd get to see Dick Grayson grow into Nightwing the same way Gohan grew up throughout the seasons of DBZ. So far though, Batman shows don't last longer that 65 episodes or so (while DBZ had 500+ episodes or something crazy like that), and the most recent "Beware the Batman" is already over after one season :( - making this kind of Batman show improbable. As a huge Bat-fan, I honestly wouldn't mind if they completely stole my idea, and just did it without me. Still, it seems very unlikely that a show like this could happen. Fingers crossed that DC/WB makes a Bat-family centric animated series next!!

Well, chalk it up to DBZ stemming from a solid source material like a Manga. So many timelines and stories make comics more confusing, and you have a clear beginning, middle, and end for something like DBZ. They stretch the hell out of it with filler, but still.

Anyway, as for a Bat-Family series, it has potential. The problem, I feel, is marketing to the hardcore fan is key in setting yourself apart. My personal pick would be to base the story around a solo Red Robin, but have him regularly interact with members of the Bat-Family to solve issues in both hero business and personal business. Maybe have Tim be his "nice" older brother figure, Damien his "rival," and Todd be his "Jerky-but-with-a-heart-of-gold," older brother. Occasionally seeing Bruce as the hardline father figure.

You sort of get where I'm going with all this though, so I'll stop. It's an interesting deal. Personally, I feel that the DCaU has enough Batman material as it is...I'm more hoping for a Robin/Red Hood/Red Robin series somewhere in the future. Maybe something with Kid Flash, Arsenal/Speedy, or Aqualad would be cool to see.

I take it you mean Dick as his nice older brother figure, but I'd love a show like that! It would essentially be the Ninja Turtles, with Batman playing the role of Splinter, and the Robins being the Turtles - the only difference is the focus would be on one of them instead of all four. We can only dream for now..

But at the same time, I'll always love whatever Batman thing they put out haha. I can never get enough! It's great that they've been incorporating other Robins than Dick Grayson recently. First with "Under the Red Hood", and now "Son of Batman." I have a feeling we'll be seeing characters like Tim, Cass, and Steph, very soon.
Finally someone did a bat family picture with Batwing in it thank you
If you're going to place Helena Wayne, then you need to add Catwoman too, since she is her mother.

I don't need to add anymore to this boring, uninspired collection of character designs, haha. I'll remember to include more people in my next attempt at the Bat-family though :)
Thank you for adding Batman Beyond. This ass at my school made a big deal about "why Batman Beyond doesn't count as Batman"
I love this piece, but I have one small criticism.  Everyone, except Alfred, has their fists clenched.  I think you should either make there hands relaxed, or put them into action poses.
These are amazing pieces of drawings.
